Carrie Youell, Panhellenic Advisor

Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Carrie Smith Youell graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication. While at MTSU she was an active member of her sorority and the Panhellenic Council where she served as a Recruitment counselor, Public Relations Director and the Vice President of Recruitment. She was also a member of the MTSU “Lightning” Dance Team for four years serving as captain her senior year. Upon graduating she began working in the Office of Greek Affairs at MTSU and found her passion for student affairs. Shortly after she was hired full time as the Coordinator of Greek Affairs and began working on her Master’s. In 2007, Carrie completed her M.Ed in Administration and Supervision.

In August 2008, she came to the University of Tennessee to serve as the Panhellenic Affairs Advisor. She feels student empowerment is extremely important to the learning process and believes she works with some of the most well rounded students on the UT campus. Carrie resides in Knoxville with her husband, David and enjoys traveling, photography, shopping, spending time with her family, and enjoying the mountains in East Tennessee.
