What is your favorite spot on the University of Tennessee campus?
- My favorite spot on campus is the hill. The hill is the oldest location on UT's campus and holds so many traditions in just one area. From the hill, there are breathtaking views of downtown, Neyland Stadium, and the clock tower is right there! I love hearing the alma matter play, ain't nothing like it.
What do you think is the best part of Sorority Recruitment at UT?
- The best part of recruitment is the friendships that are made. I am a gamma chi for the second year now, and after last year, I would have given anything to be a gamma chi again. The friendships I formed with my PNM's and fellow gamma chi's are something I treasure dearly.
What piece of advice would you give to a potential new member (PNM)?
- Keep an open-mind and positive attitude! If you have these two things all week, your recruitment experience will be the best!
Why did you go through Sorority Recruitment?
- The reason I went through sorority recruitment was largely due to wanting to be involved in philanthropical work. I was co-chairman of the Teen Board of Knoxville my Senior year in which I dedicated over 475 hours of community service in High school and I developed a love for non-profit work. A sorority was a perfect way for me to continue to stay involved and to keep allowing me to volunteer to help others.
What is your best sorority moment?
- I cannot pick one-but in general, the sisterhood formed.
How has your sorority helped you academically?
- It has really pushed me to excel in my studies- being held to a higher standard scholarship wise, can only make a person try even harder, which is what I do.
