What is your favorite spot on the University of Tennessee campus?

  • Mabel's Cafe on the ag campus. It has the best food of anywhere on campus, the mashed potatoes are amazing! Plus the UT Gardens are over there and they are really pretty.

What do you think is the best part of Sorority Recruitment at UT?

  • The best part of sorority recruitment is meeting so many new friends. By becoming a member of Panhellenic you immediately join a community and are exposed to so many aspects of campus life.

What piece of advice would you give to a potential new member (PNM)?

  • Stay positive and keep and open mind. Every sorority on this campus has something to offer. Do not let your descions be made by what others say, the most important thing is to find the place you feel comfortable.

Why did you go through Sorority Recruitment?

  • I am from Illinois so nobody from my highschool went to school here. I went through recruitment, becasue I wanted to find a place on campus and community to belong to and that is exactly what I found.

What is your best sorority moment?

  • For me I think the best sorority moments are the late nights just hanging out on the dorm floors. Living on a floor with all your best friends is so much fun and there is always someone there ready to hangout.

How has your sorority helped you academically?

  • Many ladies going through recruitment are nervous about keeping grades and being in a sorority, but I believe that being in a sorority has only helped to improve my GPA. Sororities emphasize scholarship and have programs that promote positive academic activity. On top of that by joining a sorority you have a whole new resource of different majors and areas of study, which provides study groups, academic advice, and so much more.
