What is your favorite spot on the University of Tennessee campus?
- My favorite spot on campus on normal days is the Humanities Amphitheater. It's such a nice relaxing place to sit and read or do homework. On game days, my favorite place other than Neyland Stadium to be is right next to the rock where the Pride of the Southland Band starts their march towards the stadium!
What do you think is the best part of Sorority Recruitment at UT?
- The best part of sorority recruitment is making friends that will not necessarily go the same chapter as you. You make friends in your Gamma Chi groups along with friends in other groups and have automatic bonds and connections with people that may or may not be in your chapter in the end.
What piece of advice would you give to a potential new member (PNM)?
- Be confident, open-minded, and genuine. Be true to yourself and make your own decision. Do not let someone else's opinion about a chapter change yours. Also, the women in the suites are just as nervous as you may be; so, no worries, stay calm!
Why did you go through Sorority Recruitment?
- I came from a small high school where everyone knew everyone. Coming from that kind of atmosphere to a school with 25,000 plus students was a big change. So, I wanted to find a group where I settle down and be comfortable. I found that not only in my own chapter, but in Panhellenic as a whole!
What is your best sorority moment?
- Watching bid day from a chapter member's perspective! Seeing the excited women run to their new suites is one of my favorite memories of all time!
How has your sorority helped you academically?
- The sororities on campus know that the reason you come to school is first and foremost an education. Study hours really encourage chapter members to go to set aside times to study. Also, having sister's previous school work in my classes helps review for tests and finals.
