What do you think is the best parts of Sorority Recruitment at UT?

  • It’s such a great way to get to know more people! Since it’s right at the beginning of school, everyone is excited and eager to get to know each other so it’s just the perfect opportunity to make some new friends!

What piece of advice would you give to a potential new member (PNM)?

  • I think the best thing you can do is just relax and be yourself! If you stress out too much, then you probably won’t enjoy yourself, and as long as you are being who you truly are then you can’t go wrong!

Why did you go through Sorority Recruitment?

  • I knew I wanted to get involved in some kind of organization at UT because I wanted to meet new people, and it seemed that a sorority just had everything to offer- service and leadership opportunities, academic support, social events, sports and other activities, and sisterhood. I was interested in all of these things so it just made sense to try it out!

How has your sorority helped you academically?

  • I have always felt encouraged by my sorority to achieve in my academics. Every woman who has a high GPA gets recognized and rewarded for their success. It’s also been very helpful having older members in my sorority who have the same major as me so I can ask them for advice about classes or teachers.

If you could meet any person, who would it be?

  • Ellen DeGeneres- she’s so funny, she loves to dance, and she isn’t afraid to be herself!

What is your favorite thing to do in Knoxville?

  • I love going to the Ice-skating rink in Market Square. That’s always entertaining!
