What is your favorite spot on the University of Tennessee campus?
- My favorite spot on campus is the amphitheater by Humanities. When it's nice outside, it's a great place to just hang out and relax. Also, you just never know what you're going to find out there.
What do you think is the best part of Sorority Recruitment at UT?
- I would say the best part is getting to meet other ladies going through. A lot of your time is spent just waiting to go into the suites. I remember having so much fun just talking to other ladies. Then after recruitment I knew all these other people on campus besides my own sorority sisters.
What piece of advice would you give to a potential new member (PNM)?
- I know it sounds cheesy, but just relax and be yourself. Make sure that you get to know everything that you can about each sorority and really think about where you would best fit in. It can also be really difficult at times, but forget about everything you've heard and try to keep an open mind.
Why did you go through Sorority Recruitment?
- My reason was really simple: I just wanted to meet people and get involved and it seemed like a great way to do that. However, being in a sorority has meant so much more to me than just that - I've met some of my best friends and have had more fun than I ever imagined.
What is your best sorority moment?
- Some sorority sisters and I were coming back from working on Homecoming at one of the fraternity houses one night and we decided it would be really fun to run down the amphitheater lawn. When we started to run though and all of a sudden the sprinklers came on. I just remember seeing one of my sisters like completely plow down the hill -- We all ended up completely soaked and muddy, but it was one of the funniest nights ever.
How has your sorority helped you academically?
- Well, I've always had a lot of sorority sisters in my major and so I was never alone in any of my classes. We always worked and studied together and that always really encouraged me to do well academically.
