What is your favorite spot on the University of Tennessee campus?

  • My favorite spot on campus is Neyland Stadium - no other college football experience compares with that of UT's! The spirit, the people, the band - everyone is just so supportive of the football program. Neyland also brings back great memories of the amazing Kenny Chesney concert back in 2003 - he certainly topped any previous concert held at UT and I had a great time.

What do you think is the best part of Sorority Recruitment at UT?

  • The best part of sorority recruitment is meeting so many new friends! I met so many wonderful ladies while participating in recruitment, and I still keep in touch with many of them to this day - two years later!

What piece of advice would you give to a potential new member (PNM)?

  • I know this statement is repeated quite a bit, but try to ALWAYS keep an open mind! Each sorority chapter has something different to offer a wide variety of women, and if you let your heart guide you throughout the week and do not listen to what other people think about chapters or who your friends favorite chapters are, I guarantee you will find the chapter that is perfect for you!

Why did you go through Sorority Recruitment?

  • I went through recruitment because I wanted to experience something different in college - my parents both went to UT and were not Greek, and I had always heard about their experiences at school, but I just wanted an experience that I could call my own and enjoy for myself. I was very close with many ladies throughout high school in varsity cheerleading and wanted a similar close bond - and definitely found that in sisterhood.

What is your best sorority moment?

  • Being honored by being the first freshman in my chapter at UT's history to be elected to Exec! I loved the fact that the women in my chapter had enough faith in me to trust me in such a position while in my first year at college, and I have loved giving back to a chapter that has given me so many opportunities and so much love!

How has your sorority helped you academically?

  • My chapter has strong scholastic values and I always want to do my very best to keep our overall GPA very high within Panhellenic. It is important to prove that Greek women are both active and scholastically successful.
