What is your favorite spot on the University of Tennessee campus?
- Ayers Lawn J I have a lot of classes up on the Engineering Hill and it is nice if I have a break to grab a bite to eat from Ray’s, and sit outside up there on the hill. It was just redone and is so beautiful!!
What do you think is the best part of Sorority Recruitment at UT?
- The best part for me of sorority recruitment as a PNM was the friends I made during recruitment that I’m still friends with, even though we are in different chapters. As a chapter member I love preference and its meaning. Preference is really serious and serene and shows insight to what the individual chapters represent and it is something special to experience.
What piece of advice would you give to a potential new member (PNM)?
- My recommendation to PNMs is to enjoy this week, it goes by fast!! Make friends with ladies in your Gamma Chi Group or in line with you! You don’t want to pass the wonderful opportunity of meeting as many amazing ladies as possible!
Why did you go through Sorority Recruitment?
- My mother was in a sorority so I grew up visiting her sisters and knew that friendships that lasted as long as hers did with her sisters were the type of friendships I wanted in college. Also I wanted to belong to an organization that offered a smaller community in such a large university.
What is your best sorority moment?
- Taking my three littles!! The excitement of big sis reveal week and the expressions on their faces and tears when they found out it was me was priceless!!!
How has your sorority helped you academically?
- I am the scholarship chair of my sorority and the ideals of how important scholarship is in my sorority helps me. Also my sorority offers study hours, old class notes and exams, and many other academic related resources.
