The purpose of Delta Delta Delta shall be to establish a perpetual bond of friendship among its members, to develop a stronger and more womanly character, to broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist its members in every way possible. The Delta Sigma chapter here at the University of Tennessee exhibits these values in their everyday life. Tri Delta’s philanthropy raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Tri Delta’s fall philanthropy is the Tri Delta Golf Classic, which raises money for St. Jude. At the 3rd annual Golf Classic in 2005, we raised over $61,000! Trideltathon, a mini triathlon, raises money for ETCH and Camp Eagles Nest. At the 20th annual Trideltathon in 2005, we raised $15,000. Tri Delta also participates in ETCH’s Phone-a-thon, where we raised $12,000. Tri Delta’s passion for raising money for children’s cancer research caused our chapter to raise more money than all sororities in Panhellenic last year! Along with our philanthropy, Tri Deltas love to participate on campus. Tri Delta women are involved in Student Alumni Associates, SGA, Orientation Leaders, Ambassadors, ACE, Order of Omega, Dance Marathon Exec, and Panhellenic Exec, just to name a few! We have also won the Panhellenic Involvement banner, and we participate in ACE events such as All Sing, Homecoming, Carnicus, and Vol Challenge! For over 80 years, Tri Deltas have been representing UT wonderfully. Being a member of Tri Delta creates a special bond that will not only last through college but also through life.
