The mission of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for women is to promote friendship, develop women of intellect and integrity, cultivate leadership potential and enrich lives through community service. Tennessee Gamma has a long, rich history that is steeped in tradition and values, and the ideals set forth by our Founders, which we still live by today. Pi Phi was the very first national fraternity for women established by twelve remarkable women at Monmouth College. Pi Beta Phi was one of the seven founding fraternities of the National Panhellenic Conference, and the first to have a national philanthropy.
Each year Pi Phi holds our annual philanthropy Pi Fly. This all day softball tournament raises money for our national philanthropy Arrowmont, which is located in our back yard in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Besides our philanthropy, a Tennessee Gamma will always be found participating in different events around campus such as: Vol Challenge, Lipsync. Homecoming, Dance Marathon, All-Sing, and Relay for Life. There is never a dull moment around the Pi Phi's. Whether we are at a sisterhood retreat, ice skating in the Old City, piling into someone’s room to watch our favorite TV shows on the Pi Phi floor, or all getting ready to attend a mixer, date party, or formal we always have a great time together.
